Join Erica Ford for Flow Clinic on Thursdays
Thursday's will have a slightly different vibe starting on May 5 at 6:30pm.
Join Eric Ford for Flow Clinic, an energetic vinyasa class that gives you all the heart-pumping action you can handle while it also offers a mini-workshop on various poses each week.
About Flow Clinic
The Flow Clinic (previously called YogaPlus+) is a vinyasa-focused class that is all about tackling new challenges in your yoga practice. The first half of class guides students through a sweaty, traditional vinyasa flow. The second half of class is taught workshop-style to help students learn more complex poses by breaking them down into micro-movements so that each element is fully understood. We then build the poses back up as students experiment getting into the new pose as the yoga teacher carefully assists and coaches them. Remember, no stress. It doesn't matter whether or not you are able to fully express the pose your first time. We only want to give you the time to fundamentally understand the pose, give it a try, and begin creating the kind of muscle memory that will help you get deeper into the pose next time. Coming to class will not only enhance the quality of your practice, but will also remind you that you can accomplish anything you want on and off your yoga mat.
About Erica Ford
Erica is a communications consultant by day and a yogi at all times. She came to yoga as a student in 2006 seeking stress relief from the pressures of her consulting career and found it as soon as she extended into her first warrior pose. Yoga has helped Erica not only cope with work, but with a number of health challenges associated with having polycystic ovarian syndrome, sleep apnea, and carrying an extra 100 pounds of weight on her body. With the help of yoga and the support of her doctors, she made it to the other side, but did so with the realization of the power of yoga and the role it played in her quest for a quieter mind and better health. This conclusion led Erica to earning her 500-hr teacher certification from Faith Hunter Yoga so that she could bring what she’s learned to others while helping them have a good time too. In Erica’s classes, students can expect to have fun while receiving one-on-one coaching and affirmation throughout while actively moving through dynamic and challenging asanas. Her teaching style emphasizes self-love, individual growth, and community in a safe learning environment. Erica juggles her passion for yoga with her love of doing strategic communications consulting at an international consulting firm. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Best Wishes to Corinne!
MSY is in denial that Corinne is leaving our regular schedule - we love her, too! - but she'll be back. Meanwhile, we're staying positive and taking the chance to switch things up.
