The Wall is Coming Down!
This is by far our biggest announcement. To accommodate as large a practice area as we can, MSY will be combining Studios A and B into one large practice room in early August. The studio will have to close for a few days the week of August 8, so please watch for updates on that. We are hoping it won't take more than 2-3 days!
Farewell Alex, Hello Aviva!
Our beloved Alex is taking more time to be with his beautiful family, and so we are happy to introduce you to Aviva. With her arrival starting on July 20, we are also moving Sivananda to a new time: 6:15pm on Wednesdays.
Aviva is certified in the Sivananda tradition and has been practicing Yoga since 2005. She was trained under Swami Sitaramananda at the Sivananda Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, California and has spent time at the Sivananda Yoga Ranch in New York and the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India. She emphasizes the five points of yoga in her classes: proper exercise (asanas), proper breathing (pranayama), proper relaxation (shivasana), proper diet, and positive thinking/meditation. She is Yoga Alliance registered RYS-200.
Get Fired Up for Tuesdays with Fire Flow!
Beth's super-charged, advanced Fire Flow Level 2.0 class is moving to Tuesdays at 6:45pm. Keep the heat going!
Grab a Mid-Week Mixed-Level Flow!
By moving the Sivananda time, we're able to add a mid-week mixed-level flow class with Beth at 7:35pm on Wednesdays starting July 20. This class allows students who somewhere between Level 1.0 and Level 1.5 to enjoy all the breath and movement challenges you seek and offers modifications to accommodate your growth. This class is appropriate if you are comfortable at Level 1.0 and are interested in catching a glimpse of what comes next.
August is Slow, which Means the Class Schedule Might be Wonky....
Gentle Flow hiatus; Pilates and Sivananda taking a few weeks off. The dog days of summer often don't leave room for a Friday night class. We get it, and we're not offended. :) Friday night gentle flow will continue through July but will take a break in August, ready to start fresh in September. Pilates and Sivananda will be off the schedule a few weeks in August, but will be back with a vengeance after Labor Day!
Slow Flow IS coming back!
The lovely Megan Lynch left us in June to focus on graduate school, but Slow Flow will be back on the schedule in September - never fear!
